What’s up, Props fam!?

We're officially entering one of my two favorite times of the year. If you ask me, it’s a coin flip between the fall and (specifically) March.

Time to make new memories with familiar faces you haven't seen in a while - whether it’s at a fantasy draft, wedding, or pumpkin patch with your partner’s friends and their kids (everyone’s favorite!!).

College football is right around the corner, and if you’re into gaming, both College Football 25 and the new Madden just dropped.

I've been playing video games since I was a kid, but now I'm a little hard-pressed to find the time – but I do pop on for a ranked match from time to time.

But honestly, these games help build the annual hype for actual football season being here.

High school football kicks off in Pennsylvania next week, and if you're not supporting local games, you're missing out. Nothing beats watching these kids lay it all on the line while grabbing questionable concession stand hot dogs as the leaves start to turn.

Pennsylvania high school football is really big – maybe not Texas big, but we can go punch-for-punch with most regions.

Between all levels of football (plus MAC Nation on Tuesdays), there's really only one day without football: Wednesday. We’ll have to figure out how to survive that lonely day together.

Now, I'm guilty of scheduling my wedding during peak football season on a loaded slate.

My friends want to kill me because Penn State plays Oregon that day. In my defense, I didn't know the schedule when I booked this thing (the over/under on score-checking during my reception is 47.5, and I'm hammering the over).

At least I didn’t schedule it on Nov. 1!

Check out this crazy slate we have patiently waiting for us. Clear your schedule - this is a Saturday I would probably call in sick to my own wedding.

Football just makes everybody feel better. Get out there, support local teams, and enjoy the action with friends & family.

My top hitters vs. pitchers model has been great for us. I’ve also been working on a home run model, which, you guessed it, focuses solely on identifying the hitters in the best situations to go yard. Disclaimer: I’m still in the testing phase.

While I haven’t unleashed it publicly yet, it’s pretty darn close. There is A LOT that goes into this bad boy, which has been an extensive project of mine.

One thing it doesn’t take into consideration: Vegas odds. We’re just looking for guys to go boom as a nice cheat sheet and quick reference to find the best plays for a multitude of reasons.

This model pretty much knows everything about each hitter and pitcher. Did they have decaf or regular coffee this morning, and how many red lights did they hit on the way to the stadium?

All jokes aside, advanced metrics, splits, recent and long-term form, park factors, weather – everything you can ask for when it comes to HR hunting. Stay tuned for more!

Notes: The Cubbies played the rare Friday lunch-time game, so you may see some of them in the above analysis.

Also, looks like Jose Urena might be the bulk guy for Minnesota tonight. If that changes your opinions on the hitters in that game, plan accordingly!
